Hotelier Peter de Savary has worked with interior designer Kathleen Frazer on his latest project – an historic inn in
an idyllic Cotswolds village.

From Winston Churchill, who was born at nearby Blenheim Palace, to David Cameron, whose constituency town of Witney is just down the road, the historic village of Minster Lovell has long been a haunt of British premiers. It is hard to think of an English village which more perfectly re?ects that other Prime Minister, John Major’s vision of “long shadows on cricket grounds, warm beer, invincible green suburbs, dog lovers and pool ?llers.” Honey-coloured Cotswold stone, thatched-roof cottages? Check. Picture-postcard cricket green? Check. Babbling brook? Medieval ruins? Quaint church? Check, check and check again. And of course, no self respecting idyllic English village would be complete without it’s quintessential country pub.
