The philosophy of the de Savary Family’s inns is to serve fresh, home grown and locally produced ingredients cooked simply and with inspiration.

The gastro-pub inspired menus are created by our celebrated Chef, David Mwiti. Menus change daily according to what’s available in our vegetable and herb gardens and from our local suppliers.
We are proud to be supporting local producers, ensuring the highest quality freshest ingredients go into making our pub classics and heart warming favourites. Here are just a few of our current suppliers:

A&M Meat Specialists, Buckinghamshire

Alan Plested is the driving force behind A&M meats. He has spent 48 years in the meat trade supplying quality meats. A&M Meat Specialists have a commitment to source locally and a dedication to offer quality meat.

Bread Bin

Bread Bin, Carterton, Oxon

A family run local business established in 1986 owned by Daphne Austin. The Bread Bin is the only true scratch bakery in Carterton. All breads are homemade using fresh ingredients absent from mixes or concentrates making each loaf beautifully unique.

Burford Free Range Eggs, Burford, Oxon

A small family run business, run by Patrick Bourns, his wife Stephanie and daughter Louise. All chickens are 'Free Range' meaning they are free to roam in the fresh, open air, and exhibit all natural chicken behaviours.

Crudges Cheeses, Kingham, Oxon

Local Cotwolds cheese heroes Karen & Rodger Crudge make award winning artisan cheeses using milk from 3 local farms, especially chosen for the quality of their cow, sheep and goats milk respectively.

Hayman Fisheries, Oxford

Opened in 1928 by Charles Hayman, who originated as an ice merchant, which very quickly progressed into a high quality fishmonger. Still trading from the same site today, albeit fully restored and refitted. All fish supplied to the Old Swan & Minster Mill, is grade A quality fish, of which is the very highest of quality.

Woodlands Farm, Chedworth, Gloucestershire

The Finch family have been farming in Chedworth since 1928. Over the years the way they milk and deliver has changed, but their values remain the same. Happy cows means tasty yogurts! Woodlands yoghurt is made from fresh milk and thick yellow cream. Yes this means it's not fat free (3.8-6.6%) and yes it means that it has calories in it, but we're sure it will taste so much better than any skinny, fat free, high sugar content yogurt!
